Are you the Viking type? Well then this festival is for you!

Tracey on the main stage in 2015
Gather all ye Vikings in aid of ‘Aoibheanns Pink Tie’ at Grove Gardens, Fordstown, Kells on Saturday 20th of August and enjoy the Viking Village, the Viking Long Boat, Viking Battles (featuring extra’s from the acclaimed TV show The Vikings) and of course entertainment from 11am until late.
Last year I hosted the main stage of acts and it was truly a fantastic event. Plenty of acts throughout the day to appeal to everyone of all ages.
And trust me you just won’t know who might show up for the event: (See main photo above)

Guinness Book of Records attempt of most assembled Viking Shields
Plenty of onsite stalls & food options. A huge field so plenty of space especially with families in mind. There was even a Guinness Book of Records attempt of most assembled Viking Shields:
The diversity of acts & entertainment were excellent and this year will be even better so I’m looking forward to being involved again this year. Here is this years event line-up:
And to think by attending this festival you are not only having an incredible time, you are also supporting the charity ‘Aoibheanns Pink Tie’ set up in 2010 after the tragic loss of Jimmy’s daughter Aoibheann to cancer at just aged 8 years. During Aoibheann’s year long battle with this dreadful disease, the family found little or no financial or practical support for children and their families. When Aoibheann passed away the men wore pink ties at the funeral which was Aoibheann’s favourite colour. The charity was formed in her memory to remedy the lack of support for other children and their families going through treatment. Today they provide practical, emotional and financial fall back to those families who need it. The support varies case by case as almost every situation is different. Families are referred by the social workers working on oncology wards primarily in St. John’s Ward in Our Lady’s Hospital in Crumlin.
