This week I choose the new release by 23 (Twenty Three)
This is the electronic music project of bearded Irishman and professional musician Padar Mulvey.
Formed in 2013, 23 (Twenty Three) began as a one man Indie band taking its influence from 60’s British Invasion music & 90’s Brit-pop. Upon hearing the ‘Alive 2007’ album by a certain ‘French House’ duo, 23 pulled the guitars down from eleven and introduced a synth to the music. The result?
An album under the title of ‘Epochal’
Consisting of 10 tracks that walk the line between Club Culture & Rock’n’Roll” Put simply this could be the love child of Daftpunk & Oasis!
Album ‘Epochal’ is due out this July.
Every Tuesday 100% Irish airs at 7pm & repeated every Saturday 10pm.
Its is the very best in Irish music as its the national Irish chart show.
The ‘One to Watch’ is the coveted slot as it closes the show.
It is a song that truly deserves to be part of a chart show. You know that song that should be doing better than it is?
